REC Offerings for Providers With an EMR
Leveraging support from Federal and State funds, regional hospitals and providers, the Dayton - West Central Ohio Regional Extension Center offers a multitude of tools and knowledge to aid in this transition.
Education and Outreach. Education and outreach will include the following areas:
- Information regarding the ARRA requirements for obtaining Medicare and Medicaid incentives for Meaningful Use including ongoing updates on new developments
- General information on Certified EHR Systems and EHR adoption
- Regional Partner visits to your practice to supplement outreach
Meaningful Use. Assistance in attaining Meaningful Use and provision of any Certification Documentation, necessary for you to meet the CMS’ requirements for Meaningful Use.
HIE Interoperability. Technical assistance to you when you are attempting to connect to a local Health Information Exchange or directly to the statewide Health Information Exchange. If you are connecting to the Greater Dayton Area Health Information Network your annual maintenance ($100 per provider) will be waived for the duration of the program.
Privacy and Security. Education for you regarding national and state standards relating to security and privacy, and to support you in implementing best privacy and security practices.
